Generate Klaviyo private API key

Private API Key is used when you want to grant access to sensitive data from your AfterShip Reviews account to your Klaviyo account.

Generate Klaviyo private API key to allow Klaviyo to access data from your AfterShip reviews accounts to trigger reviews campaigns.

Go to Settings in your Klaviyo admin
Move to API keys under Accounts tab
Click Create Private API Key

Acquire 3 CNAME records from AfterShip Email

Go to the Sender email section of your organization account
You will see your registered email address with the Unverified tag, so click on the Verify domain button in case you want to use it. However, if you have another email address in your mind, tap on the Add email button.

After clicking on the Verify domain button, a popup window will appear with 3 CNAME records, which you need to add to your domain’s DNS settings.

Log in to your DNS provider. Copy the generated CNAME records and add them to the DNS settings of your domain.

Generating coupon codes

There are 2 ways to get a coupon code for a campaign:

You can enter a code prefix (e.g. new) and AfterShip will add random letters and/or numbers at the end of the prefix to create an 8-character-long coupon code. A prefix can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens.
If you don’t specify a prefix, a random 8-character-long code consisting of letters and/or numbers will be created.

With AfterShip Email, you can send follow-up emails and ensure your efforts in creating newsletters never go in vain.

Steps to schedule a follow-up email

|| You can schedule follow-up emails for newsletters that you've created in the last 15 days. It will have the same content as your first email, however, you will be able to modify the subject line for the sake of a better open rate.

Go to Email newsletters in your AfterShip Email admin. Select a newsletter for which you want to enable and schedule a follow-up email

Under the Settings tab, you’ll see a Follow-up email section. Click Enabled
Decide when (time) you want the follow-up email to be sent along with the subject line
Click Save

Once enabled and scheduled, the recipients will receive the follow-up email based on your settings, and there’s a high possibility that your overall email open rate will start improving.

Additional considerations

You will have to wait at least 2 days to be able to send the follow-up email after the first newsletter was sent.
The follow-up email option will remain active for 15 days from the day you've sent your first email.

Design your form first

Log into your AfterShip Email account and navigate to the Popups & forms section > Tap on Create new form campaign and choose an Embedded form of your choice.

Now, you will see three tabs — Settings, Text, and Style — so start entering the required details to get your form ready.

Begin with the 'Settings' tab

This tab comprises of 6 sections:

Name: In case you want to give your embedded form a specific name, mention it in the field. Otherwise, you can leave this section with its default entry: Embedded form.
Coupon: If you want to offer a coupon to new subscribers, define it manually. In case you already have a coupon campaign created, choose it from the dropdown menu.
